RM unleashes its secret weapon, the “Yu Wenba” (a reference to a famous Chinese actor known for his eccentric and sometimes controversial personality) is here! The 2022 legendary space watch – the OMEGA Speedmaster Moonshine 18K gold model – features a 42mm case crafted from Moonshine 18K gold, finished with polishing and brushing techniques. Its design is inspired by the asymmetrical case of the fourth-generation Speedmaster that landed on the moon. The domed minute hand and central chronograph seconds hand follow the iconic hand style of the Speedmaster “Moonwatch”. The Moonshine 18K gold crown is embossed with the brand logo, and the chronograph pushers are also made of Moonshine 18K gold. The “stepped” dial is made of Moonshine 18K gold with a sunray-brushed effect. The tachymeter scale on the ceramic bezel is made using OMEGA Ceragold technology and features the “Dot Over Ninety” (DON, where the dot for 90 is above the numeral) marking from earlier Speedmaster models. The bezel of the transparent case back is also made of Moonshine 18K gold, polished, and features a double-beveled design, engraved with “THE FIRST WATCH WORN ON THE MOON” and “CO-AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER”.
